<p>O mouse em forma de clip se prende, na altura da palma da mão, e possui um controle que foi desenhado para ser controlado com o polegar e quando se fecha a mão.</p>
<p>O movimento do cursor é ativado quando se fecha a mão ativando um &#8220;switch&#8221; (110) e em seguida girando o mouse e o &#8220;arremessando&#8221; para controlar o eixo X e Y do cursor. Como dito acima, os botões esquerdo e direito do mouse são controlados pelo polegar (114, 116).</p>
<p>Os desenvolvedores tiveram todo um cuidado para que o mouse não interferisse na digitação, como mostra o desenho acima.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 6pt" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="PT" style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial"> O sistema, chamado Tai-Chi (&#8221;Tangible Acoustic Interfaces for Computer-Human Interaction&#8221; - Interfaces Tangíveis Acústicas para Interacção Homem-Computador), foi desenvolvido por investigadores da Suíça, Itália, Alemanha, França e Reino Unido.<br />
A principal inovação do TAI-CHI foi desenvolver interfaces computador-homem interactivos tangíveis tecnicamente avançados baseados na acústica com o uso de várias matérias de sensores acústicos para encontrar cada exigência de cada aplicação selecionada (sensibilidade, largura de banda, curvatura das superfícies interactivas, etc.). Uma das mais interessantes ideias sobre a tecnologia TAI é a possibilidade de transformar qualquer objecto numa superfície interactiva. Sem a necessidade de dispositivos extras para o interface, apenas sensores acústicos de contacto baratos e algum input áudio para o computador é o sufuciente.</span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 6pt" class="MsoNormal"><span lang="PT" style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial">Uma série de sensores acústicos que transformam qualquer superfície em uma interface de computador sensível ao toque. Dois ou mais sensores são presos à volta das bordas da superfície. Eles detectam a posição de um dedo, ou de outro objecto de toque, rastrea as mais pequenas vibrações. O que permite criar um touchpad virtual, ou um teclado, sobre qualquer mesa ou parede. Construir interfaces personalizados e barato que ofereçam um elevado grau de expressividade é o grande desafio do sistema TAI.Isso abre a porta para uma vasta área de exploração. Desde pequenos objectos ressonantes a grandes extruturas, o potencial para inventar interfaces originais é ilimitado.</span></p>

No </span><a target="_new" href="http://www.surface.com/"><span lang="PT">Microsoft Surface</span></a></span><span class="txtart"><span lang="PT"> o teclado e o rato, são substituídos por um ecrã táctil de 30 polegadas colocado numa superfície horizontal, que pode ser utilizada com as mãos mas também reconhece objectos colocados sobre a superfície. </span></span><span lang="PT">Dotada de uma tecnologia semelhante aos computadores actuais, com um processador Inter Core2Duo, 2 GB de memória RAM, placa de vídeo de 256 e um sistema operativo baseado em Windows Vista, esta mesa detecta os objectos e comandos com os dedos através de câmaras infra-vermelhos. Um projector DLP posicionado no fundo da mesa envia as imagens vistas pelo utilizador. A Surface permite ainda a interacção com aparelhos electrónicos, por Bluetooth ou Wi-Fi. Com um telemóvel compatível, por exemplo, é possível transferir fotos e vídeos para mesa colocando apenas o aparelho sobre ela. O seu interface sensível ao toque se assemelha ao Iphone e permite a interacção de várias pessoas e objectos compatíveis mesmo tempo.
